Kaseya Endpoint Backup vs. Cove (N-able)

-Kaseya 365 protects IT environments with Datto backup and a suite of modern products that are included the Kaseya 365 package. These products are designed to fit today’s needs bundling RMM, EDR, SOC II, MDR, Image Backup, Antivirus, and Ransomware Detection & Protection into an integrated data protection suite. Other affordable add-on services include SaaS Backup for Google Workspace, MS365 backup, QuickBooks backup, and Salesforce. Kaseya/Datto offers affordable Microsoft Azure Backup.

Choosing a Cloud-Based Data Protection Suite can be a daunting task. These are so many products included a cloud-based data protection suite, such as  MDR, PSA, RMM, Backup, EDR, SOC, and more, that comparing products has become complicated and difficult.

Recently, I came across a Reddit thread exploring the differences between Kaseya 365 Endpoint Backup and Cove (N-able).  These two products are often compared side-by-side. Kaseya and Cove products both require End User License Agreement contract. However, no contracts are required to use Kaseya when purchased from www.DistributorRemoteDataBackups.com

In the response to the post, the lower price of Kaseya was a major determining factor.

And there were questions in the comments about if Kaseya still used Datto, and if the Kaseya backup was a true DR. There were also questions about if Kaseya could work to backup at a file and folder level, or if it is only built as a full image backup.

Kaseya uses Datto for backup. And the post below clears up confusion about if Kaseya is a true DR platform, which it is, and how it works.

One of the most popular conversations in this group came from a user that compared how Kaseya’s Backup (Datto) worked compared to Cove.

Some users found the diverse amount of features  offered by Kaseya to be more complicated than Cove. And some users voiced that because of this, they preferred Cove for its simplicity. Overall, both platforms were comparable and sought after as cloud-based data protection suites.

Thanks for reading, and remember: Cybercrime is everywhere. Choose your data protection wisely.
